Young Vulgarians - Semper Autumnus on Lux Aura, with NEW remixes and content!

Lux Aura Records has released Young Vulgarians album "Semper Autumnus," including with it two fabulous remixes by the ever-talented ix03y3.  Definitely head over and grab a copy... and expect to catch it on itunes, Spotify, and everywhere else very soon.

Also, it's nice to finally see Silvis Records show up on discogs after all these years.

It's also nice to be able to report that Silvis survived the Jokulhlaup.  Here's the NY Times article on that.

The silence does not suggest stillness.  Numerous releases have been developed for future release.  In fact, we have enough completed content to be releasing music annually for the next 30 years.

Young Vulgarians has found a very appropriate new home with Lux Aura Records, originators of the Witch House genre, and repository of a dazzlingly brilliant array of dark artistry.  Macaronic Anathema will make its official appearance April 11th, with the rest of the Autumn Trilogy to follow.  We are most grateful for the support and recognition, and look forward to more collaboration in the future.

Asenath Anyox - Contact Traces Mixtape

"Contact Traces," a mixtape of Asenath Anyox's top jams from their first 7 albums, is now available on Bandcamp.  Grab it and get stoked all over again.

As you may have noted in our list of releases, 3 new Asenath Anyox albums are nearly complete, and will be released over the next year.  Expect a very (VERY) "Siamese Dream" sound.  

If things have seemed quiet, that's because 1) some of our releases have been under another artist's name unaffiliated with Silvis Records (which may eventually change); 2) we've been completing numerous albums for future release, including as far as 10 years into the future.  This has been some of our most complex and consuming work to date.

Sideslept and Eutrophia LPs

Since moving to Juneau, we've been keeping it low key at Silvis, working on years of multiple albums silently, and releasing music elsewhere under a pseudonym.  

Still, two new acts to check out, if you haven't already:

Sideslept reincarnates jazz as a gothic morass of shoegaze-draped breakbeats existing somewhere between dread and reincarnation.  Think Cocteau Twins, electric-era Miles Davis, Boards of Canada, and Aphex Twin.

Eutrophia is Alaska-based gabber. Vicious, dystopian avalanches of glitched-out hardcore.

Skaltros / Kuundlaan Split 7" Lathe cut on Ebay

There is a copy of the Skaltros / Kuundlaan split 7" on Ebay for an extremely reasonable price right now. Only 20 were made.  (On a 1930s lathe machine.)

We are making other music but it is under pseudonyms.

Silvis Updates and Changes

Two new releases from Silvis Records, in obscure 80s/90s subgenres with very limited audiences:

"Withdrawn" by Bartram Haugh. The gothic darkwave outfit's 7th LP.  

Also clocking in at LP #7 is Fassionola Fanihi, with their album "The John Frum Stimulus Act."  Dark, energetic, classic acid house that stays close to the original formula.

As usual, all Silvis Records pricing is "Pay What Thou Wilt," which means that you should pay or not pay however you see fit.  We truly have no financial objectives with this music.

Expect things to slow down on our end as we move further northwards within Alaska, to a new abode.
