Ataxeta LP: Kalsakski

Silvis Records is pleased to announce its 34th release, Ataxeta's full length album "Kalsakski"; a description-defying work of esoteric nightmare, and shamanistic determinate negation.  This is perhaps the most challenging and terrifying work in the Silvis Records catalogue, and not recommended for casual listeners.

Alaska-based artist Ataxeta explores southeast Alaska's esoteric geopsychology and associated demonology. Ataxeta's "Oppressive Black Metal" style combines a diverse array of instruments, meditative ambience, gnostic formula composition techniques, and dub-like production to create an effect of intellectual and spiritual gain through absolute darkness and abandon. Fronted by Nukshean, of infamous southeast Alaskan underground acts Skaltros, Kuundlaan, Malaxis, Naukati, and Sutreak.

Cantharellus -- Imelda

After an enormously long wait, we are finally glad to be able to present Cantharellus' epic full-length LP, Imelda.  Dark, fuzzed-out shoegaze / goth-grunge played on vintage surf guitars through cranked british amps.  Absolutely not to be missed.  Get it over at CDBaby.com for $9.99.

Naukati: Undressing the Dusk

Naukati presents a new 3.5 hour masterwork, "Undressing the Dusk."  Alaska-based black metal / dark ambient dirges conjuring nostalgic images of overgrown, forgotten worlds.   Available for $9.99 at CDBaby.

Based on Revillagigedo Island, Alaska. A project of Nukshean, also of the black metal bands Skaltros, Kuundlaan, Ataxeta, and Malaxis.

Sutreak: Wilderness Installation -- Out Now

Sutreak's debut album, "Wilderness Installation," is now available.  Masterful, supernatural, esoteric ambient music which would appeal equally to fans of Burzum or Boards of Canada.  One of our favorite Silvis Records to date.  Download a copy at CDBaby, and fill your autumn with visions of remote otherworlds.

It's been a busy summer/autumn in the studio; expect the coming months to hold many new releases.

New: Garapanax "Shop and Sweat" Full-Length

New summer jams from Garapanax.  "Shop and Sweat" is the group's most comprehensive and ambitious statement to date; a tropical trance period piece featuring a barrage of vintage 80s drum machines, a live afro-cuban percussion section, and vintage synth pumping out Mironesian-influenced trance.  Get it and get soaked in sun and nostalgia.

Now Available: Ataxeta "Dagwiig" 7"

Silvis Records presents "Dagwiig" -- a new 7" by Ataxeta -- now available on CDBaby for the modest cost of $2.49.  Two blistering 7 minute tracks of monumentally harrowing southeast Alaskan black metal oppression.

Ataxeta's "Oppressive Black Metal" style combines a diverse array of instruments, meditative ambience, gnostic formula composition techniques, and dub-like production to create an effect of intellectual and spiritual gain through absolute darkness and abandon.

New Release: Cantharellus "Loam into Bolete"

Just in time for the start of Alaska's Boletus edulis season is a new grunge/gaze-filled EP by Cantharellus.  Get it over at CD Baby for the modest sum of $2.49.  Vintage surf guitars tremolo-gliding through cranked British amps with the straightforward power of Isn't Anything-era MBV.
