Ataxeta LP: Kalsakski

Silvis Records is pleased to announce its 34th release, Ataxeta's full length album "Kalsakski"; a description-defying work of esoteric nightmare, and shamanistic determinate negation.  This is perhaps the most challenging and terrifying work in the Silvis Records catalogue, and not recommended for casual listeners.

Alaska-based artist Ataxeta explores southeast Alaska's esoteric geopsychology and associated demonology. Ataxeta's "Oppressive Black Metal" style combines a diverse array of instruments, meditative ambience, gnostic formula composition techniques, and dub-like production to create an effect of intellectual and spiritual gain through absolute darkness and abandon. Fronted by Nukshean, of infamous southeast Alaskan underground acts Skaltros, Kuundlaan, Malaxis, Naukati, and Sutreak.

Sutreak: Wilderness Installation -- Out Now

Sutreak's debut album, "Wilderness Installation," is now available.  Masterful, supernatural, esoteric ambient music which would appeal equally to fans of Burzum or Boards of Canada.  One of our favorite Silvis Records to date.  Download a copy at CDBaby, and fill your autumn with visions of remote otherworlds.

It's been a busy summer/autumn in the studio; expect the coming months to hold many new releases.

New: Garapanax "Shop and Sweat" Full-Length

New summer jams from Garapanax.  "Shop and Sweat" is the group's most comprehensive and ambitious statement to date; a tropical trance period piece featuring a barrage of vintage 80s drum machines, a live afro-cuban percussion section, and vintage synth pumping out Mironesian-influenced trance.  Get it and get soaked in sun and nostalgia.

Naukati's Nahasaga: 4.5 hours of Ambient BM

Silvis Records has finally made Naukati's 4.5 hour album "Nahasaga" available.  "Nahasaga" is Naukati's most definitive and complete statement of esoteric, ambient black metal.  The album dates to 2013.  Until recently, we were unable to achieve a satisfactory digital release due to length.  Nahasaga provides an unparalleled meditative journey, reflective of southeast Alaska's dark, decaying dreamscapes.

Cantharellus "Philippine Sea" EP -- now availble!

After a long wait, new material from shoegaze titans Cantharellus is here!  The Philippine Sea EP contains late 80s / early 90s style tremolo-bending, offset-guitars through cranked Brit amps.  Sound familiar?  There "isn't anything" quite like it... if you know what we mean.  The album showcases the live sound of the band, using minimal tracks and very limited studio chicanery to capture Cantharellus' enormous natural sound and tone.  Recorded on Revillagigedo Island, Alaska under some heavy Micronesian influence.

Ataxeta's debut, "Kagaanaang" -- now available!

Silvis Records is excited to unveil "Kagaanaang" by Ataxeta; quite likely the darkest, most depressive black metal we have ever encountered.

We are extremely excited to be able to bring our listeners work of such caliber and complexity, and hope you will agree that Ataxeta's "Oppressive Black Metal" style is one of the most exciting forms of the black metal genre to evolve in recent times.
